How do I make a CV for Dubai?
Use one plain column with standard headings, and put your nationality, visa status, location and notice period near the top: Gulf recruiters filter on them. Then a short summary, your experience newest first with results rather than duties, month and year on every role, your stack and your education. Our CV format guide has a free Word and PDF template that follows every check.
What does the CV review check?
52 checks from 70 sources, in five groups: whether an applicant tracking system can read the file, whether your lines show results, what Dubai recruiters look for (location, visa status, notice period, known employers), honesty and clarity (dates, titles, claims), and your tech stack. Each note links to the rule in our CV format guide with its sources.
Is the review written by AI?
Partly. Our own code runs the format checks (columns, headings, dates, contact details) and works out the score; an AI model reads the wording against the same published rules. Every number in a suggested rewrite has to be in your CV already: where one is missing you get a [x] to fill in, never an invented figure.
Is the ATS check free?
Yes. The ATS check reads your file the way a tracking system does and shows the top issues with no sign-up; a free account shows every format issue and what the software reads. It uses no AI and nothing is stored. The full review, with every line marked up, is part of the pass.
Which cities do the rules cover?
Dubai for now, with the UAE's rules (the labour law, Emiratisation, how degrees are checked) under it, and extra advice for CVs from India and the UK. The rules are layered by place, so other cities follow.
Do you keep my CV?
Your file goes to our AI provider, Fireworks AI, to write the report. It isn't stored by them or used to train AI. We delete the file and the text read from it after 30 days; the notes stay with your report for 365 days, or until you delete it.
