Check your Dubai job offer before you sign

Short answer

We read your offer letter or contract and check every clause against UAE labour law, or the DIFC's own law if your employer is there: the pay split, probation, notice, non-compete, leave, benefits and any fee asked of you. Each problem is highlighted with the article of the law it breaks, the date we checked it and one line to send the employer.

Questions

How can I check my job offer letter in the UAE?

Check two things. First, that the offer is genuine: look it up on MOHRE's job offer inquiry with the transaction number on the letter, and never pay anything to get a job. Then check what it says: upload it here and every clause is compared with UAE labour law (33 checks), each with what to ask the employer for.

What is the price of an offer letter from MOHRE?

Nothing for you. The employer pays for your work permit and visa: charging the worker recruitment or employment costs is against the labour law (Art. 6(4)). If anyone asks you to pay for an offer letter, a visa or a "processing fee", treat it as a red flag.

What is an offer letter in the UAE?

The employer's signed offer: the job title, the pay split into basic salary and allowances, and the main terms. The MOHRE labour contract follows it and should carry the same terms, so ask the employer to confirm in writing that it will.

Can I resign after 6 months in a 2 year contract?

Yes. UAE contracts are for a fixed term, but either side can end one by giving notice: between 30 and 90 days, the same for both sides unless the difference favours you. The review checks that your offer's notice clause stays within those limits.

Is this legal advice?

No. It's general information: your offer compared with the law as published, with the article and the date we checked it. If your employer disagrees, MOHRE gives free advice and handles complaints; for a complex contract, ask an employment lawyer.

Does it cover free zones like DIFC?

Yes. Most free zones, such as Dubai Internet City and DMCC, follow the federal labour law, which is what the review uses by default. The DIFC has its own employment law, and the review follows it when the letter says so or you choose it. ADGM in Abu Dhabi has its own regulations too, and our checks of them are still limited.

What happens to my document?

Your file is sent to our AI provider, Fireworks AI, to write the report. It isn't stored by them or used to train AI. We delete the file and the text read from it after 30 days; the notes and short quotes stay with your report for 365 days, or until you delete it.

Can I get a refund?

Yes: the pass comes with a full refund within 14 days of buying it, no questions asked.
