Free ATS CV checker for Dubai jobs
Short answer
- No sign-up to start
- No AI: we read the file in memory and don't keep it
- 12 checks from ATS vendors' guidance and Dubai recruiters, each with its sources
Checked in memory, nothing stored, no AI
Your file is read on our server while you wait and dropped as soon as the answer is sent. We don't write it to disk or our database, we don't log it, and no AI model sees it: the checks are our own code. If you choose, a copy stays in your browser only, so you don't upload it again after signing up; you can forget it at any time.
The full CV review is different: it uses our AI provider and keeps your file for a limited time. The privacy policy has the details.
What the check looks at
Applicant tracking systems read your file into fields (name, contact details, jobs, dates, skills) and recruiters search those fields. The 12 checks follow the parse failures ATS vendors document and what Dubai recruiters ask for, as of October 2026:
- Text a parser can read (not a scan or a picture)
- One column, with no tables or text boxes holding the text
- Contact details on the page, not only in the header or footer
- Standard headings: Experience, Education, Skills
- Headings written as words, not s p a c e d letters
- A length recruiters read, for your years of experience
- Month and year on every role, newest first, written one way
- A few plain fonts, and no picture in the version you upload
- A phone number with the plus sign and country code
What it doesn't judge: the words. Whether your bullets show results, your Dubai market fit and what to rewrite are the full CV review's job.
Questions
How do I check if my CV is ATS compliant?
Upload it above. We read the file the way a simple parser does and run 12 checks: a text layer, one column, no tables or text boxes holding the text, standard headings, contact details on the page rather than in the header, letters that aren't spaced out, a sensible length, few fonts, month and year on every role, and a phone number with the country code. Each issue comes with what to change.
Is 80% a good ATS score?
There is no standard ATS score: each checker makes up its own scale, and the software employers use doesn't grade your CV out of a hundred. It reads the file into fields and lets recruiters search them. What matters is whether it reads your CV correctly, so this check shows the problems it found and the checks you passed, not a made-up percentage.
Is an ATS score real?
Not in the way checkers suggest. Employers' systems parse and search CVs; recruiters then filter and read. A score from a checker is that checker's own opinion. A clear, one-column file with the words of the job ad gets through the parser; the rest is up to the recruiter.
Do you store my CV?
No. The file is read in memory on our server, checked, and dropped when the answer is sent: it isn't written to disk or our database, it isn't logged and no AI sees it. If you tick the box, a copy stays in your own browser only, so you don't upload it again after signing up. "Forget this file" removes it, and so does logging out.
Which ATS do Dubai employers use?
Large employers in Dubai use the same systems as elsewhere, such as Greenhouse, Lever, Workday, SAP SuccessFactors and Oracle Taleo, and job boards such as Bayt and LinkedIn read your CV into fields too. They differ in detail but trip over the same things: columns, tables, text boxes, pictures and contact details in the header.
Does a two-column CV fail an ATS?
It often reads wrongly. A simple parser reads straight across the page, so a sidebar's skills get mixed into your job titles and dates. Sign up for free to see your CV in the order the software reads it.
Should I send a PDF or a Word file?
Either works if it's made from a word processor: a PDF keeps your layout, a Word file is what some company sites ask for. What fails is a scan or a photo of a CV (no text to read), or a design tool's export with the text in pictures.
